We’d like to extend a big thank you to all those who donated bottles this month to our monthly bottle drive. We appreciate and are grateful for all of the support. We’ll be back next month so please save those bottles up and keep your eyes open for our reminders.
A special thank you goes out to the businesses (Chilis, Brewster’s, Original Joe’s) who donated this month and our volunteer helper, Kathleen, who helped us out on short notice. Your help is greatly appreciated.
We are also looking for VOLUNTEERS to help with the monthly collections. It would require approximately 2 hrs and a truck is not required, although helpful. We don’t do door knocking. You would only be picking up bottles already pre-arranged for pick up. If you can help please let us know which month (3rd Satruday of every month) you can help out with at email@example.com. Thank you.
We are doing our November bottle drive on Saturday. If you have bottles/cans that you would like to donate to us, please email us your address (firstname.lastname@example.org) and name and we will arrange a pick up for you. Thank you so much for your support!
The CBE is offering an opportunity for feedback for the walk zones for both the middle and elementary schools being built in New Brighton. See the letter below for more information on how you can provide input. The deadline is November 23, 2015.
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who voted for our idea in the Aviva Community Fund. We received near 1000 votes! Unfortunately, however, we were recently notified that we did not make it to the top 30 ideas. We were overjoyed to see the support of our idea and commitment of the community to our group.
We would like to remind everyone that although we did not attain this particular funding, there are and will be many other opportunities to help us achieve our goal of building a playground for the school kids at the K-4 school. Please sign up on our website (via the follow button on the page) for updates on how you can help, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter. We currently have monthly bottle drives and a Cobs Bread fundraiser ongoing (details on our website and social media sites) and will be posting more information on future fundraisers soon.
We have teamed up with Cobs Bread to help raise funds for the school. Whenever you purchase anything at the Cobs store on 130 Ave SE, mention the New Brighton Elementary Parent’s Association and they’ll donate 5% of your purchase to our group. Go and enjoy some tasty treats, while helping build playgrounds and provide learning tools for our kids. NOTE: This is an ongoing fundraiser.
Thank you for your support!
