Mabel’s Labels Fundraiser

2015_FundraisingWebBanners School

Do your kid’s items go missing regularly at summer camp?  Have you been told you need to label EVERY item you send with your kid to daycare?  Are you one to start planning and preparing for back to school early?  Do you have sports equipment that you don’t want to go missing?

Help ensure your child’s items don’t get lost by labelling them with Mabel’s Labels.  Whether it be summer camps or back to school, these labels can help prevent all those items you worked hard to pay for from ending up in the lost and found boxes.

We have everything available including labels that are personalized, write away, allergy alert labels, safety bracelets, bag tags, labels for use in the home…. So many options to choose from.  Labels are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe.

Please consider buying your labels though our fundraiser.  With free shipping, you can’t go wrong!  20% of all orders go to helping build a playground and supply other items for the New Brighton School.  Check out the options and order through the following link:

New Before and After School Care

Before and After School

We have received another offer for before and after school care in New Brighton.  Please see the details below:

I am pleased to offer dedicated BEFORE AND AFTER school care for children attending New Brighton Elementary commencing September 2016.

I am not a Dayhome, but have years of experience as a preschool teacher, current first aid and a criminal record check. I would like to offer my services to Grades 1-4 only, for 6 families needing a F/T spot.

I will open @ 6:30 a.m. and close @ 6:00 p.m. with breakfast and a post school snack included. I will also offer homework help if needed, to allow families quality time in the evening. I live very close to New Brighton School, ensuring a short walk to and from school.

If this sounds like an ideal fit, I would love the opportunity to expand on my qualifications, discuss my rates and have you visit my home for a “meet and greet.”

An email recently came out regarding the school fees for the 2016/17 school year.  Because the provincial budget is not yet finalized, these are subject to change but are expected to be very close to those published.  In addition, all parents are asked to register for noon supervision should they need.  Doing this now, helps greatly in the planning process.  Information can be found in the documents below:

Kindergarten Orientation Recap

For those who were unable to attend the kindergarten orientation/info night held at Acadia School on June 2, the presentation given to all parents can be found on the New Brighton School CBE website at New Brighton School CBE.

Anyone unable to attend, should receive the orientation package in the mail in the next few weeks.  Students will have a staggered entry for the first few days to ease the transition of starting school.  Information on that process is in the package as well as at the link above.
