We are so excited to announce that we will be holding a casino fundraiser on June 18 and 19 at the Deerfoot Inn Casino. We are looking for volunteers for both day and night shifts. Anyone over 18 years can volunteer, no previous knowledge needed, and training is provided. The funds that we raise during the casino event will help our school replace technology that is coming to the end of its lifecycle.
That’s a wrap on this upside down year! From online school, to masks and lots of hand sanitizer, we made it! Thank you to our teachers, administrators, and our community for making sure our kids felt safe, cared for and still had fun. Have a wonderful Summer and see you in the Fall.

We are excited to announce they have begun breaking ground for the new playground. Although this is such an exciting time which we have all waited so long for, we do want to remind everyone to keep their distance from the build site for safety and security reasons.
The New Brighton Elementary Parent’s Association (“NBEPA”) is pleased to announce that the AGLC has awarded our association with April 30 and May 1, 2020 casino dates at the Deerfoot Inn Casino. This is an incredible opportunity for our association to secure funding for our school as needs arise beyond our playground build, which is now fully funded and scheduled to break ground this spring. The funds raised from our casino event will provide New Brighton School with access to programs like artist in residences, field trips, athletic equipment, library supplies and technology like laptops and iPads just to name a few.
Casino events require 36 shifts to be filled. Each shift raises approximately $1,600 for our school. No knowledge of gambling is needed, and training is provided at the casino event. All family and friends over 18 years of age are eligible to volunteer. Volunteers can work more than one shift but cannot change position. Please note that we cannot host this event if we do not have volunteers for each shift. If we do not have enough volunteers, we must forfeit the event.

We are at a pivotal point in fundraising for our playground. We are required to raise an additional $25,000 by November 15, 2019 in order to qualify for a grant that could potentially fund the remainder required to build our playground. If we are awarded this grant, we can break ground in Spring 2020 and have our playground completed. A concept of our proposed park is pictured below. Please note that this concept is subject to change. We intend to host an open house prior to our build to consult with the community.
